Watch as a squatter in a Detroit house gets owned.
Lynn Arthur Williams has been squatting in a Detroit home owned by Sarah Hamilton-Gilmer. Disputes between the two have left Hamilton-Gilmer in cuffs and Williams still living in her home. Fox 2 reporter Charlie LeDuff decided to see if he couldn’t change that situation.
So he took a camera crew, a bathrobe, and the deed to the front door of the home in question and confronted Williams himself. IJReview described LeDuff as “fearless,” especially since Williams is on probation for felony assault.
In the somewhat awkward but otherwise cordial interview that follows, Williams admits she is squatting in the house and has no legal right to be there. However, she also says other people on the block are doing the same thing and refuses to leave.
